At Duke of Kent School, we understand that every child learns differently. Our small classes allow teachers to know each pupil well, adapting learning to provide the right balance of support and challenge.

When additional support is needed, our Learning Development team works closely with teachers and families to provide personalised strategies, particularly in literacy and numeracy. Where appropriate, Personalised Learning Plans set clear, achievable goals and help monitor progress.

We also work with specialist professionals, including Speech and Language and Occupational Therapists, and can support families with referrals to other external specialists when required.

By identifying individual needs early and providing the right support, we help children build confidence, independence and resilience.
