SHAKESPEARE IN A SUITCASE
At the V&A
The whole of Year 7 had the amazing opportunity to perform at the Victoria and Albert Museum, in their medieval galleries. First, Y7 visited the V&A for inspiration, then enjoyed a workshop back at school led by the V&A team. Finally they returned to the Museum to perform their piece. The project gets its name from the single suitcase into which all the props have to fit. Supported by Mrs Honey, Year 7 devised a half hour production based on dreams in Shakespeare, using dance, movement and speech in innovative, creative ways. How exciting to see such great teamwork and commitment - particularly from those who had never been in a production before.
