On Saturday 26th September, we opened our doors for our Open Morning, welcoming prospective families to Duke of Kent School to explore our beautiful school, meet our pupils and staff, and discover more about life in our community.

The morning began with an informative talk from our Head, Mrs Knox, who shared an insight into life at Duke of Kent School and what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow. Our Head Girl and Head Boy then shared their own experiences of school life, speaking about the opportunities they enjoy and what they love about being part of the Duke of Kent community.

Following the talks, our Senior School pupils took families on individual tours around the school, offering a glimpse into everyday life at Duke of Kent and answering questions along the way. Our pupils were wonderful ambassadors for the school, and we were delighted to receive such lovely feedback from parents about how welcoming, knowledgeable and confident they were.

There was plenty happening across the school for visitors to see and experience. In our classrooms, families could take part in activities and watch science experiments, while staff were on hand to answer questions and showcase the wide range of opportunities available to our pupils.

There was plenty of activity in our Sports Department too, with pupils enjoying pickleball in the Sports Hall and football on our Astroturf, giving visitors a chance to see our pupils enjoying our sporting facilities.

Our Performing Arts Department was also a hive of activity. Pupils got into character to perform scenes from the musical Into the Woods, giving visitors a taste of the creativity and confidence that are such an important part of life at Duke of Kent. Our Year 11 band, Bombardier, also entertained visitors with a brilliant live performance, showcasing the musical talents of our pupils.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open Morning. We would also like to thank our pupils, staff and volunteers from our Parents' Association for making the morning such a success and giving our visitors such a warm welcome. We are particularly proud of the way our pupils represented the school and shared their experiences with prospective families.
