At Duke of Kent School, learning doesn't stop when children leave the classroom. Through educational visits, co-curricular activities and community experiences, our Pre-prep pupils develop confidence, curiosity and a wider understanding of the world around them.

Educational Visits

Educational visits are an important part of life in our Pre-prep, bringing learning to life in exciting and memorable ways. Whether exploring marine life at a Sea Life Centre, discovering local history or visiting places of cultural and religious significance, every trip is carefully chosen to enrich classroom learning and inspire curiosity. Throughout the year, pupils also enjoy shared experiences such as theatre visits and whole Pre-prep outings that create lasting memories together.

Activities Programme

Our popular after-school Activities Programme gives Year 1 and Year 2 pupils the opportunity to discover new interests, develop skills and have fun with friends. From sports and cooking to ballet, first aid, recorder, boules and croquet, there is something to inspire every child. Activities take place from 3.30pm–4.30pm.

Community

We believe children learn valuable life lessons by being part of a wider community. Throughout the year, Pre-prep pupils take part in whole-school events, charity initiatives and activities alongside older pupils, helping them develop kindness, confidence and a strong sense of belonging while preparing them for the next stage of their journey at Duke of Kent School.
