GCSE Results 2026

Duke of Kent School Celebrates Excellent GCSE Results!

Duke of Kent School is celebrating another excellent set of GCSE results, with the Class of 2026 achieving strong grades and impressive Value Added across the curriculum.

The school achieved an overall GCSE pass rate of 98.3%, with 87% of pupils gaining at least one grade 7 or above. An impressive 41% of all grades awarded were grades 7, 8 or 9, with 9% at the very highest grade 9.

Results were particularly strong in the core subjects, with an average grade of 7 in both Maths and English and an average grade of 6 in Science.  In addition, Modern Languages continue to be a real strength at Duke of Kent School, with half of the Spanish grades at 7–9 and 100% French pupils achieving grades 8 or 9.

Importantly, the results also demonstrate the progress pupils have made during their time at Duke of Kent School. On average, pupils achieved almost a full grade higher than their standardised CAT4 expected grades. Put simply, pupils achieved significantly better GCSE results than their starting points suggested.

Sue Knox, Head of Duke of Kent School, said:

“We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 pupils. These results reflect their ability, hard work and determination, with the strong Value Added showing just how much progress they have made, supported by the dedication and care of our staff.

Whilst these results are fantastic, success at Duke of Kent School is about much more than grades. We are equally proud of the kind, confident and resilient young people they have become and the contribution they have made through sport, music, drama, outdoor learning and so much more.

It has been a privilege to watch them grow. They leave us ready for their next chapter, with much to be proud of and much to look forward to.”

Congratulations to the Duke of Kent School Class of 2026!
