Moving On and Careers
Throughout their time in Senior School, we prepare our pupils for their eventual transition to Sixth Form and support them as they develop the habits and skills they will need to succeed in adult life.
We guide students and their parents carefully as they decide on the next school. Impartial advice on transition and careers is tailored to the individual. Our pupils are offered the opportunity to take the Cambridge Aptitude Profile to assist in deciding on future A Level choices and careers. The Head of Careers and Transition and Director of Studies are on hand for any queries about A Level choices or school applications.
Interview practice, CV workshops and any preparation required for entrance scholarships, help to prepare students for the application process to schools and colleges as well as laying good foundations for future employment applications.
Since our expansion to GCSE in 2012, students from Duke of Kent School have gone on to study for A Levels at a wide variety of schools and colleges including:
- Frensham Heights
