Admissions Process

Registration

To put your child's name down for a place at the school, a non-returnable £100 Registration Fee is payable. Acceptance of the Registration Form and fee does not imply the offer of a place.

NB Registration Forms are valid for the year of entry requested. A new Registration Form will be required if the year of entry changes.

Nursery and Pre-prep

Applicants for admission to Nursery are enrolled without formal testing. From Reception to Year 2 applicants visit for a 'visit day' during which they will have an informal interview with the Head of Pre-prep.

Other Entry Points

We are unable to offer places into Years 10 and 11.

No specific preparation for assessment is required. Interview and assessment are of equal importance in the admissions process.

When a year group is full a waiting list will operate by date of receipt of Registration Form and fee (currently £100).

A Prep School deposit of £400 is required for pupils joining Nursery through to Year 6.

Pupils moving from Duke of Kent School Prep School to Senior School top-up their deposit with additional £400 to make a total of £800.

A Senior School deposit of £800 is required for pupils joining Year 7 and above.

Deposits are payable on acceptance of an offer of a place and are returned when the pupil leaves less any extras the pupils may have incurred during their final term.
